Impact rugby had on your life:
Not only was rugby a great passion that created lifelong friendships, the sport re-enforced some important truisms.  That hard work, teamwork, preparation and discipline will lead to success in other aspects of life.

Most inspirational teammate/coach and why:
It is impossible for me to single out one or two individuals.  I played with so many great players and for two equally exceptional coaches (Dennis Storer and Ron Nisbet).  The talent, work habits and attitude that I was surrounded by, motivated me to be a better player.  Subsequent to my playing days and growing with the passage of time, I find the continued commitment to both UCLA rugby and the SMRC of Gordon Bosserman to be most admirable.  Gordon was not only a great player, but is a lifelong active supporter of rugby.

What wisdom would you pass on to current players:
You’re now creating memories and forming friendships that you will have your entire life.  Enjoy every minute of it.  You never know when it will end.

Marital Status (Spouse/Kids names):
Married to my wife, Peggy for 40 years.  We have two children, Bryan and Megan, their spouses Jackie and Keith, and six grandchildren, Lincoln, Case, Henry, Weston, Tate and Finley.

Favorite quote:
"Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment." - (Will Rogers)

Interests:
Fly fishing, reading history books, spending time with my wife, children and grandchildren, and drinking wine with good friends.
